ABOUT THE BOOK
Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design written by N.Krishna Raju, Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering, M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore is published by CMS Publishers whose first edition was printed and published in 1986. The book is primarily design oriented with more emphasis on types of design with minimum extent of theory, presented whatever required for application in design. The various design steps are identified and provided in a logical sequence. Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design is a comprehensive book for undergraduate students of Civil Engineering. The book comprises chapters on deflection of reinforced concrete beams and slabs, estimation of crack width in reinforced concrete members, redistribution of moments in reinforced concrete beams, design of ribbed slabs, preliminary design of flat slabs, and equivalent frame analysis of flat slabs. In addition, the book consists of several detailed diagrams to understand the concepts better. This book is indispensable for civil engineers preparing for competitive examinations like GATE and IES.
